What is Ancestral Lineage Healing?
Ancestral Lineage Healing is a process that enables us to relate with our blood lineage ancestors through ritual, ceremony, and prayer. It was developed by ritualist and educator Dr. Daniel Foor, Ph.D., the founder of Ancestral Medicine.
Ancestral reverence was practiced in many cultures throughout history. Unfortunately, as empires grew and religion and spirituality took on a more imperialistic nature, many have forgotten that communicating with the deceased is not only possible, but also beneficial—for both the living and the deceased.
Ancestral Lineage Healing is a means of rebuilding the spiritual and heart-felt connections with those who came before us. It enables us to experience their light, love, and wisdom and incorporate their gifts into our everyday lives. It also enables us to bring healing where it is needed.

What happens in a session?
Ancestral Lineage Healing sessions typically take about an hour. The first session will take about 90 minutes.
Sessions look like a guided meditation. The first session will involve assessing the well-being of your ancestral lines in consciousness. When you select the ancestral line you would like to work with first, we will help you connect with ancestral guides along that line. Those guides will bring a sense of safety to the process and facilitate any healing that needs to take place. From those guides, you'll also be able to learn about the gifts that the line has for you, as well as any specific challenges or themes that have shown up for that line throughout time.
Your ancestral guides might also tell you what you can do to deepen your relationship with that ancestral line—ways that you can embody their gifts more deeply in your life.
Please note that it is not necessary to know your ancestors by name or their stories. You don't even have to know who your parents are to benefit from this work. Knowledge is helpful, but not necessary. Ancestral Lineage Healing works at a spiritual and energetic level, regardless of how much you know about your ancestral lines.
Matt's people
My ancestors came to the present-day United States from Poland, Lithuania, and Italy in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Engaging with them through the lens of Ancestral Lineage Healing has been a huge blessing for me and them. I marvel at the powers they are each connected to and the magic they each possess. In our sessions together, I'll call upon the greatest, most healed aspects of my ancestral lines to help you connect with the wholeness and well-being of your own people.
Meet Matt
When I encountered Ancestral Lineage Healing a few years ago, it was very much in sync with my view of death and the afterlife: After death, a journey of self-actualization continues for the living and the deceased, and both continue to dialogue and inform each other.
Of course, coming from a very Catholic background, I wasn't formally taught this perspective. But I came to believe it based on how I saw my family handle the passing of loved ones, and how those loved ones would visit me in my dreamtime.
Around 2009, my spiritual path became deeply informed by Q'ero shamanism and my studies with the Four Winds Society. And ancestral reverence became an important part of my practice. In 2023, Ancestral Lineage Healing refined how I view ancestors and and how I practice ancestral reverence. It made me more aware of our connection not only to the recent dead, but to our ancient ancestors as well, who are still trying to speak to us and offer guidance. I think it's important to listen! And that's why I'm here. I hope to create a channel so you can hear the voices and guidance of your own people and experience their love and blessings in your everyday life.
Energetic Exchange
As an Ancestral Lineage Healing practitioner in training, I am currently charging $30 (USD) per session. After I obtain certification, pricing will increase and be based on a sliding scale. Discounts and other arrangements are available on request.
